Renovating a tired panelled liner pool
& integrating it into a stunning new pool enclosure
The project
In early 2014, our client approached us with a desire to upgrade their existing panelled liner pool, transforming it into the centrepiece of a proposed pool enclosure building. After consultation, our team determined that the most effective solution was to construct a reinforced fully mosaic concrete pool within the existing pool.
The new pool measured an impressive 9 meters by 4 meters, offering ample space for swimming and relaxation. To enhance safety and convenience, we integrated an in-ground stored slatted cover system. The interior of the pool was meticulously finished with iridescent grey mosaic tiles, creating a captivating ambiance. Complementing the pool’s elegant design, the cover was finished in a sleek grey, further enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. To ensure optimal water quality and circulation, our team installed a high quality filter system comprising a media keg, multidirectional valve, and a high-performance pump. Additionally, we integrated an air-sourced heat pump, allowing our clients to enjoy a comfortable water temperature throughout the year, regardless of the season.
The pool enclosure building was created with design and functionality in mind. Double-glazed door systems flood the space with natural light and ventilation, while the steel framed beam system, clad with timber, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the construction of the enclosure complements the beauty of the pool, creating a seamless and harmonious environment.
Throughout the project, our team maintained open communication with the clients, ensuring their vision was brought to life with precision and attention to detail. By combining our expertise in pool construction, design and engineering we successfully transformed a tired existing outdoor pool into a stunning centrepiece integrated with a new pool enclosure.
